Disconnect switch

A disconnect switch (also known as a safety disconnect switch or isolator switch) is used to completely de-energize electrical circuits and stop the flow of current. They are commonly found in industrial applications and manufacturing facilities where machinery must have its power source withdrawn for adjustment or maintenance.

Non-fusible disconnect switches are ideal to be able to disconnect your equipment from your motor circuit. These safety switches are available in a variety of models, voltages, and sizes and can be manual or motorized. They are often used in conjunction with an earthing switch to ground the area of the system that has been isolated from the system. This ensures circuit protection, the safety of the equipment, and the personnel working on it.
