Electrical transformers for sale

Transformers are electromagnetic devices that convert power. It is a passive component that transmits electrical energy from one circuit to another or numerous circuits. They are made up of three main components: a core (usually ferromagnetic (iron)) and two separate sets of wire coils known as the primary and secondary windings.

Electrical transformers are used to change the alternating current (AC) voltage levels by stepping up (increasing) or stepping down (decreasing) the output voltage from the primary to the secondary windings. When an alternating current is applied to the transformer’s primary winding, the coil produces a pulsing magnetic field. To avoid wasting energy, the transformer core directs the passage of the magnetic field between the primary and secondary coils. When the magnetic field reaches the secondary coil, it causes the electrons within it to move, which results in the generation of an electric current by electromotive force (EMF).
